Trading Metrics Launches Market Latency Metrics 1.0

Trading Metrics has released Market Latency Metrics, a new software application that measures real-time trading system throughput, market data latency and exchange delays. The system does not require modifications to the market data platform or the trading applications in use, Trading Metrics says. Market Latency Metrics samples network message traffic while it traverses datafeed handlers to consuming applications.

TS-Associates Chalks Up Two Global TipOff Deployments

Trading Systems Associates (TS-Associates) has won a further two global deals with top tier financial institutions for its middleware analysis product TipOff. TipOff is a real-time middleware analysis and passive latency monitoring appliance. TipOff will be deployed by a German bank across all five of its regional investment banking centres, providing passive latency monitoring of direct exchange feeds and real-time middleware analysis of its Wombat and Reuters RMDS platforms. TipOff is also to be deployed by a major US financial institution to perform real-time analysis, monitoring and trouble-shooting of its Tibco Rendezvous infrastructures globally.

29West Expands Capabilities with Addition of SNMP Monitoring

29West has added a 29West MIB to support SNMP monitoring for its messaging solutions. The monitor will support both the Latency Busters Messaging (LBM) solution for streaming messaging and the Ultra Messaging for the Enterprise (UME) messaging solution. The addition of the 29West MIB provides further monitoring support to the current suite of monitoring capabilities that include: Wireshark dissectors for passive monitoring, API support to gather statistics into your application and aggregated statistics support - which allows application developers to have the messaging statistics automatically gathered at a central machine for system wide monitoring.

Deutsche Börse Deploys Corvil Technology to Monitor Network Performance

Deutsche Börse Systems has deployed the latest Corvil 4.0 technology to monitor network performance and support Deutsche Börse Group’s new Eurex market data service to be launched this month. The significant growth in order and quote volumes requires a low latency network that ensures swift data dissemination. “Eurex’s new market data dissemination is a crucial service that is going to significantly enhance our support to algorithmic trading,” says Christian Leis, head of networks at Deutsche Börse Systems. “In a highly competitive landscape where time equals money, even the slightest delay on the network can make the difference for our customers between making a trade or not.
