IBM Tests ‘Stream Supercomputing’ with TD Bank
Thursday, April 3rd, 2008IBM is working with Canada’s TD Bank to test its new ’stream computing’ software, which uses IBM’s Blue Gene supercomputer to manage larger volumes of data than traditional technology. The stream computing architecture uses algorithms to analyse live structured and unstructured data from any source and, says IBM, can examine thousands of information sources in real time, so the bank can capitalise on changing market conditions as they happen.
