Hudson Fiber Network, an exclusive provider of high-bandwidth, low-latency networking solutions, today announced that it has upgraded its ultra-low latency, metro New York Fast Paths increasing speed to the highly desired financial exchanges.
HFN has decreased latency on its 300 Boulevard East in Weehawken, NJ route by 20 percent and its Secaucus, NJ (755 Secaucus Road and 275 Hartz Way) fiber routes by 15 percent that all connect into Carteret, NJ. Furthermore, HFN’s Weehawken to Secaucus Fast Path has decreased by 19 percent. To date, HFN’s new Fast Path from 111 8th Avenue to both Weehawken and Secaucus is the fastest in the industry.
In addition to lower latency, circuits (1 Gig and below) now have inherent protection that initiates when a connection is interrupted. When this occurs, circuits are then automatically rerouted to the next Fastest Path within nanoseconds ─ ensuring customers have uninterrupted access to the financial exchanges.
“There is no place for interruption in electronic trading. Because performance and reliability are key, HFN is constantly evaluating the marketplace and listening to our customers. This is why we constantly develop innovations that ensure our customers’ get the information they need faster and more reliably,” said Brett Diamond, President of HFN.
“In addition to our developments at the infrastructure level, we are growing our network and will be opening up international Fast Paths in Hong Kong, London and Singapore in Q1 2011,” added Diamond.
