Coral8 Releases 5.1
Event streaming specialist Coral8 has announced general availability of the 5.1 release of its Coral8 Engine, providing developers with enhanced security, greater procedural programming functionality, and server-side compilation for increased flexibility.
Enhancements include:
Enterprise-ready Security introduces user authentication, roles and entitlements for access and change and execution control to applications and components. It also includes authentication plugins for LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory, Apache-style htpasswd/htgroup files, and an SDK for creating custom user authentication plugins.
Coral8’s Continuous Computation Language — has been enhanced to allow developers to create user-defined functions directly in CCL and support complex procedural logic and “loop” constructs.
Server-side Compilation supports the ability to offload query compilation to the server, enabling lighter and smaller Coral8 client applications. This feature is available in C/C++, Java and .NET Coral8 SDKs.
Coral8 Server and Studio now run natively on Windows 64-bit platform and the SDK supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2005.
New Packaged Adapters support Windows Event Log input, historical Data Replay from a database for more flexible back testing and SMTP-based Email output adapter
