Endace, Trading Metrics Partner To Speed Electronic Transactions

Endace and Trading Metrics are partnering to help customers improve the speed of their electronic trading transactions by providing a traffic capture mechanism - monitoring both business applications and underlying technical infrastructure - that reduces network delays without impacting performance.

Endace’s use of GPS time synchronisation enables Trading Metrics to measure latencies in networks with unparalleled accuracy. “We partnered with Endace because its traffic-capture cards allow us to actively process data in real-time, not simply capture it – and do it in a completely lossless fashion that enables us to conduct more thorough analyses,” says John Kain, vice president of business development at Trading Metrics.

“Our Data Acquisition Generation technology – DAG – precisely time-stamps every packet flowing across monitored links without getting in the way of transactions, says Bill Cantrell, vice president of U.S. Sales of Endace. “The market refers to anything that gets in the way as a ‘bump in the wire,’ and our passive monitoring technology minimises the number of bumps in the wire.”
