SIFMA Preview: A Middleware Medley To Peruse
At next week’s SIFMA show, middleware vendors come in a number of flavors. Here are the key players to check out.
Grand Daddy of the middleware world, TIBCO Software, can be found on the main floor (Booth 1205), as can hybrid middleware/data fabric vendor GigaSpaces Technologies (Booth 1419).
Fellow data fabric player GemStone Systems (Booth 2101) will also be present. And will co-host a party at the Stone Rose along with Intel and IBM on Wednesday night. It’s also worth checking in on Oracle (Booth 3616) to see whether it is really recently acquired Tangosol in disguise.
What else?
Well, Wombat Financial Software (Booth 1434) has already been mentioned as a datafeed player, but it’s also got a play in the middleware world too. Both Real-Time Innovations (Booth 1211) and Tervela (Booth 1606) are making their SIFMA debuts. RTI is moving into the financial markets space from a military/industrial background, while startup Tervela will be showcasing its hardware-based approach to middleware.
