SIFMA Preview: Chip and Network Tech Vendors To Check Out
The annual SIFMA (formerly SIA, now merged with the Bond Association) Technology Management Conference and Exhibit kicks off next Tuesday, and a number of companies from the down and dirty world of hardware - chip manufacturers, networking technology vendors etc. - will be on show. Here’s who to visit …
AMD (Booth 2000) will be playing host to partners ACTIV Financial, DRC Computer and Exegy, and others. No doubt it will be pushing its Torrenza architecture, though we suspect it will be a little too soon for a Barcelona demo.
BT (Booth 1509) will (I am told) be notable for the absence of Radianz branding. The proximity services provider is about to be subsumed into the BT Global Financial Services umbrella brand.
Intel is not exhibiting, but is present as a sponsor. It plans to make a number of announcements at the show, and will be hosting a party along with IBM and GemStone Systems at the Stone Rose on Wednesday evening.
Cisco Systems (Booth 2401) - will show something for sure, hopefully its InfiniBand offerings. But, who knows?
Voltaire (Booth 1762) - will be showing its InfiniBand-based network switching infrastructure for grid servers and storage.
There is still time to register for free at the SIFMA Show Website ![]()
Tomorrow, we focus on datafeeds and datafeed handler software providers.
